Hey Rachel! Thanks for sharing with us today about the ministry you are involved with through Hope, MOPS! Can you tell us about it?
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a group that supports moms with children from birth to kindergarten and discusses mothering issues from a biblical perspective. It includes some social time, refreshments, an inspirational speaker, and discussion group time.
When/where does your group meet?
Second Monday of each month at Wyndham Swim and Racquet Club, Glen Allen at 7:00pm.
So what do you personally like about MOPS?
Encouragement in mothering from biblical teaching and others’ life experience, and that we can be real together and laugh.
What happens on a typical night?
We eat, listen to a great speaker, eat some more, and talk! You are welcome anytime. We are really nice and very real. No frills. Past topics have included women's identity issues, children's literature, even flower arranging!
So if a gal is nervous about doing something new, is there anything else you'd like to share?
I’ll lead the meeting in sweatpants and a holey t-shirt if that would mean you’d come!
