Heather! Join me on the blog couch. This is a new spot for you, I know, but I'm so glad you have joined our Hope Women's family! Tell us about your cool project for Beth Moore's upcoming trip to Richmond:
I'm serving with a team of ladies from around Richmond who are working with Lifeway to promote Beth Moore's Living Proof Live event that will occur on August 27-28, 2010! We are recruiting ladies all over the state to help get the word out to their churches and communities and to pray for this huge women's ministry event.
That is so cool. How did you get involved in leading this group/event?
I attended a Deeper Still Conference (Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur) in Greensboro this past summer. Apparently Lifeway was on the hunt for people in Richmond to help out and they sent me an email.
Tell us more. I'm a huge Beth Moore fan..but for someone who doesn't know...
Omigosh, Beth is a woman with an obvious call on her life and she has obediently served the Lord by ministering to women for years. If you have not attended a Beth Moore event, I can't recommend attending this one enough. It's been seven years since the last time Beth came to Richmond, so it's likely that she won't be back for a while.
What do you like most about your role?
It's been really neat working with women from many other churches in the area for one common purpose. We're all very excited to experience Beth in person and to be part of getting other women to experience her fervor for the Lord.
What will it be like?
Well, lots of laughter, tears, worship, fun and down-right God-inspired motivation!
How can women contact you about your group/event? What do they need to do to signup?
If you would like to get involved by being an encourager/prayer warrior the day of the event; or volunteer in the bookstore at the event; or help promote it at HOPE; or simply commit to praying from now through the event, you can email me at hbeam@verizon.net.
Anything else you want women to know who are wondering?
If you'd like to attend, but don't have anyone to attend with, there will be a group (or groups) of women coordinated to go from HOPE. Please do not hesitate to attend because you don't want to go alone. You will not attend alone! Tickets are $60 for the 2-day event.
Thanks Heather, what great information! And from what I know of Beth Moore, her events usually sell out, so make plans early!
