Thrive Updates

Thrive has quite a treasure in Marji Robertson. Marji Robertson is a like an heirloom tomato. Heirloom tomatoes are a prized item for any foodie.

I did a little wikipedia research and came up with this information: "a true heirloom is a cultivar that has been nurtured, selected, and handed down from one family member to another for many generations."

That's what Marji is. We are privlidged to be in her family of faith. She is a cultivar. She has nurtured her relationship with the Lord and blesses us by passing it on. Her lively stories and authentic expression of a faith that sometimes blooms and sometimes struggles is a true treasure. You won't want to miss her teaching from a couple of weeks ago.

And last week, Thrive women gathered for a morning of service.

Thrive Christmas: Don't they look elf-ish??

We got our jingle on last Thursday at Thrive! What a great way to begin the Christmas season, by finishing up boxes collected at Hope for Operation Christmas Child.

As one woman remarked, "this is like opening a gift and then shopping all at once!" We checked the boxes for proper packing, and created a few of our own with a huge assortment of items Mary Freeman collected throughout the year.

The Christmas Spirit continues as we conclude our series on "Woman: Ancient Meets Modern" with a closer look at Mary of Nazareth. Drop in anytime, you are always welcome! Thrive meets Thursday mornings from 10-11:30 at Hope Church and includes childcare for little "sprouts" ages infant-preschool.
