We laughed. We cried. We learned. We ate. We laughed some more. Some of us showed our talent for jewelry making, nail polishing or rock banding. And we all learned more than we ever desired to know about hair removal.
All of us connected, with each other and with Jesus. One week later, the women's weekend away seems a bit like a distant memory. The demands and busyness of life easily squelch the feelings of peace and authenticity we shared and the things we learned in our time with God.
But take heart! Excitement is brewing among women at Hope. Opportunities abound to capture a bit of that retreat feeling right here at home. Along the left side of the blog, you can survey many opportunities to jump in with women at Hope. Looking for an easy place to learn about God and connect with other women? Check out Thrive or Thrive at Nite. Want to dive in deeper and learn God's word with a trusted method of inductive study? Check out Precepts. Prefer a smaller group of women? Join Shirley on the Southside or Terri in the West End on Wednesdays. And check out Hope Central, where you can find out about "The Book on Love," a marriage study, connect with Hope Young Adults, Discover what Family Matters is all about, or sign up to get the Hope weekly Email.
Don't let the "to dos" of life keep you from moving forward with your learning from last weekend. Take the plunge today. Just try it. You'll find something to feed your soul.
